Lao Yang, of Suibing County in Heilongjiang Province, says Niu Niu’s initial intentions were not immediately clear. “I came back home and found Niu Niu had got into the chicks’ box and I thought she was going to eat them,” he is quoted as saying. “I shouted at her and she froze.
